Happy Valentine's Day! What's something you love about flute?

Flute Addition
Anyone else practicing this Sunday? Or are we all watching the game? 😅 maybe I'm just obsessed...

Romantic Era
It's February! Let's talk about romance... The romantic era! The Romantic Era in music was a period from roughly 1820 to 1900 that emphasized emotion, individualism, and expression. It was a reaction to the formality and restraint of the Classical period, with composers seeking to convey deep feelings, dramatic contrasts, and rich harmonies. Composers you may recognize from the Romantic era would be Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, Johannes Brahms. and more. Do you guys have a favorite piece from the Romantic Era?
New Year's Goals
I hope everyone had an amazing holiday! Now let's talk New Year's goals! What are you trying to learn/overcome when it comes to your flute journey?
WAY back in the day, I was a good flutist. Being bored to tears because it's winter and I cannot garden, I dug out my flute. I realized that I no longer remembered how to even read music. Although I'm not starting from square one, I find it has been extremely helpful to be here. I wish I had never quit but maybe I can regain some level of skill once again. Thanks!

I love playing The Carnival of Animals along with you. I am just curious, what kind of flute was your first one? Mine was, and still is, an Armstrong. It's over 50 years old! Yikes!
